Last updated: April 20, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Provenance platform ("Service"), operated by STDIO Labs ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use the Service. The Service is available worldwide, subject to applicable export and sanctions laws.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials, API keys, and OAuth tokens.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Ensuring your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Not using the Service for malicious purposes, including but not limited to unauthorized access, data exfiltration, or denial-of-service attacks.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
- Use the Service to store, transmit, or process data that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
5. Data Ownership
Your data is yours. All interaction data, configuration, and content you store through the Service remains your property. STDIO Labs does not claim ownership of your data.
You grant STDIO Labs a limited license to process, store, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
6. Intellectual Property
The Provenance platform, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of STDIO Labs. All rights reserved.
The Provenance SDKs (Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Java), CLI, and MCP tools are provided under the MIT License as open-source software. These tools require a valid Provenance API key or OAuth client to function with the Service.
7. Payment Terms
During the Closed Beta phase, the Service is provided free of charge. During the Open Beta phase, pricing will be announced and communicated to all users before charges apply.
A free tier will always be available, though features and limits may differ from paid plans.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, STDIO Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
9. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time with one month's advance notice. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for the applicable retention period (see Privacy Policy), after which it will be permanently deleted.
STDIO Labs reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
